September Open Evening

Thank you for completing the booking form to express your interest in visiting our school for the Open Evenings on 17 September and 24 September 2020.

It is with sincere regret that, in the light of amended government guidance regarding social gatherings issued on Tuesday evening, we have been forced to postpone our Open Evening Guided Tours as the safety of our staff, our students and our community is of paramount importance to us.

We have not taken this very difficult decision lightly. Owing to the limitations placed by the government on the number of people allowed to gather safely together, it will not be feasible to host tours for the large number of responses we received. We will endeavour to reinstate the Open Evening Guided Tours, should the government advice change.

Meanwhile, we are working on an exciting film project which will enable you to gain a glimpse into the daily life of Alde Valley Academy.  Our film will introduce you to some of our staff and students at work in our outstanding facilities. We are also looking to orgainse a series of virtual meetings for parents of year 4, 5 and 6 where we can answer any questions that you may have. We will circulate further details in due course.

For now, please make use of the information that is currently available on our website under ‘Admissions 2021’ to learn more about our school.  We recognise that this is a crucial time for you, as you consider your choice of secondary school for your child.  We want to do everything we can to support you in making that important decision, so please get in touch if there is anything further we can do.

We very much look forward to meeting you and your child as soon as government restrictions allow.

Kindest regards,

Dan Mayhew
